Mercedes 100% SVO conversion

If there is anything on my wishlist I’d like to get sorted out sooner than later it is this - finally converting our 1997 Mercedes to run on mulitfuels: diesel, biodiesel mix, 100% biodiesel, most vegetable oils, and recycled vegetable oils. With what I know about near future fossil fuel markets, we are in for a tough time. Rationing at the pumps will hit first, and expect quite a bit of chaos. I should act on this before the event, given my insight. But, it’s a lot of money, and we need it all for the extension, if we can get it built before the economic slump from crude oil market collapsing.
I would get it fitted by Dieselveg Ltd in Wolverhampton. The conversion would cost about £1,500.

UPDATE: Instead of spending £1,500 on Dieselveg conversion, I have instead bought a Smart ForTwo CDI for twice that investment. I keep a rolling record of the Smart’s fuel consumption, mainly to see how my hypermiling techniques are improving. I’m currently hitting an average
