Typical Stagecoach bus driver move in Cambridge
Published by Matt Polaine | Filed under Cycling, Cycling infrastructure, HGVs
This happens to me so often in Cambridge, and the reactions from Stagecoach and Parkside Police station so patronising and ineffective, I now hop my bike onto the pavement and ride illegally on it while the bus carries on. Mind you, Cambridge Highway engineers also place barriers at key spots where this happens, to I have to be ready to jump over these railings too.
Cycle training is not complete until you are able to do this, and be ready to deal with bus drivers (and car drivers) like this. They of course, get no real-life training for sharing the Highway with cyclists.
And politicians wonder why the UK can’t get cycle usage higher than it is?
