Larger motorcycle screen (now have)

Published by Matt Polaine | Filed under Honda XRV750, Matthew's wishlist

honda_screen.jpgMy Honda XRV750 or Africa Twin is ideal for what it was designed for; low speed touring across bumpy roads in warm countries. However, when being used in the UK on motorways there are two things almost all owners do. One is to alter the gearing slightly to reduce the engine rpm at motorway speeds (this I will do with new chain, when current one wears out) and fit a larger windscreen. The existing screen directs airflow right into the rider’s head at speeds over 50mph.

There are a handful of screens out there, but the only one that really works well is the one that is adjustable, because all screens need tweaking for different riders. The MRA HONDA XRV750 Africa Twin VARIO motorcycle screen (Reference #32279) is the only one that does this. From MRA, cost £107. My Honda XRV750 AFRICA TWIN is a year 2000 model RD07a.
