Cinema powered by bicycles

You might laugh at this, but when Russia decides to use the natural gas the UK needs, and the US hijacks Gulf Oil that would have come to the UK, this might be the only cinema running…A group of people in Cambridge are building a touring cycle powered cinema. Serious volunteer numbers, hours of dedication and The Big Chill funding made the première of The Magnificent Revolutionary Cycling Cinema possible. We’re starting to build up a collection of films for the The Magnificent Revolutionary Cycling Cinema to screen.
They’re focussing on a mixture of short and feature length films about issues such as climate change, DIY culture, bike culture, sustainability, the green-revolution… Along side home grown art films, fun stuff and other such delights.
I couldn’t attend because my super-human Mont Ventoux leg power would have blown the projector bulb, but that is my brother-in-law in the blue T-shirt, and his daughter made a short film that was shown at one of the events.
