Xanthe’s drum kit

Xanthe is saving up for her first drum kit. One of Matt’s work colleagues was selling his son’s, so we have bought the one shown left, but it is in a secret location. Xanthe has to ‘earn’ this drum kit through practice, enthusiasm, dedication, and sacrifice. The latter being in lieu of Christmas presents and birthday presents in 2007 and 2008.
At the moment her school ‘rewards’ and home ‘star’ rewards and practice ‘stars’ are all linked together so that she can accumulate stars for parts of the drum kit. She can also loose stars for bad behaviour.
In the table below is a replica of the chart in Xanthe’s drum practice book, except on this blog, those who have ‘bought’ parts of the drum kit in lieu of Christmas/birthday presents are listed and the amount of drum kit that Xanthe has so far is shown. Bold means unpaid for. The numbers correspond to the image (left) so that you can see which is which!

I will have to convert part of the shed/out-building into your drumming room, which will take some effort, as I will also need to sort the shed out at the same time. All this before you get your drumkit, as there is no way we can even store it anywhere else. So (yet again) the pressure is on…

Hi, I guess the bass drum needs a bass pedal so we will put some money towards this at Christmas (£20) followed by the remainder for your birthday. How does that sound?
