New laptop (now have)

I’d really like to get rid of the tower PC and TFT monitor in the kitchen. It gets used a lot, but the tower is ancient. The laptop we have is even worse, with a cracked motherboard and no residual power held in the battery. New batteries cost £135! I think I’d like to get the fastest Windows Vista laptop out there, as high speeds become the norm very quickly. The fastest one at the moment is the Apple MacBook Pro (yes really), which means I could run both Vista and MacOS. However at £1,300 for the 15 inch screen version, I think I’ll settle for anything less than three years old!
