Cycle training camps and sportifs

I’d love to go on a cycling training camp during the winter months. I’d prefer to take my own bike and go by coach to save on the carbon footprint and thoughtless baggage handlers at airports, along with the current crazy security issues. But places like Lanzarote Club LaSanta are too far to travel by land and sea. I don’t know. Just anywhere within a ~24 hour coach ride from Dover, which is warmer than the UK and is cyclist friendly, plus some tuition to whip my lazy butt!

I’d also love to do a sportif event, especially a stage of le Tour de France before I am too old to try it. Some organise both into one event, see example. Close to where we have stayed before!

So many dreams, so little time and money!
